This Year

Day to Day Schedule
MONDAY
The day will begin with icebreaker games ("Two Truths and a Lie" and "Telephone") to build rapport, followed by name tag creation. A brief presentation will cover Arduino basics and key components, with a hands-on kit walkthrough—ideally outdoors, weather permitting. Participants will then set up the Arduino IDE and begin their project work in break-out groups.
TUESDAY
The day will begin with a brief introduction from the instructor, followed by an engaging icebreaker activity featuring GeoGuessr (in table teams) and a Kahoot quiz to encourage collaboration and friendly competition. A concise presentation will then provide context and guidance for the day's objectives, after which participants will transition into focused project work. At the end of the day the kids will go and play outside.
WEDNESDAY
The day will begin with a brief introduction from the instructor and an opportunity for participants to introduce themselves to the class. This will be followed by an interactive icebreaker activity using GimKit to promote engagement and teamwork. A short presentation will then outline key concepts and expectations, after which participants will focus on advancing their project work.
THURSDAY
The day will begin with a brief instructor introduction and a group activity to help participants get acquainted. Icebreaker games like "Thumbs Up" and "Four Corners" will encourage interaction. A short presentation will outline the day's goals, followed by project work with time to add modifications and design enhancements. At the end of the day the kids will go and play outside.
FRIDAY
The day will start with up to an hour for final project touches. Parents will arrive at 10:30 a.m. for presentations, where each student will demonstrate their project and answer questions. This will be followed by interactive competitions—car races, maze navigation, and lie detector tests—after which parents will tour the room to view and discuss each project.
