This fundraiser is being organized through Leaders of the Next Generation (LNG) in partnership with Boynton Middle School in Ithaca, NY, and Golden Hearts Education Centre in Wakiso District, Uganda, whose students are connected through an ongoing pen pal program.

One of the students at Golden Hearts, Arthur, is currently unable to attend school because his family cannot afford this year’s tuition — approximately $330 USD. Due to limited resources, the school is unable to cover his tuition on his behalf. Without support, Arthur will have to miss an entire school year.

We are raising $1,000 not only to cover Arthur’s tuition, but also to help support Golden Hearts Education Centre as a whole. This will contribute to school supplies, classroom resources, and assistance for other students who may be unable to pay tuition, especially during this challenging period of uncertainty. Any additional funds raised beyond this goal will also go directly to supporting the school and its students.

Education provides more than learning; it offers stability, safety, and hope. LNG works closely with Golden Hearts through our educational programs and is committed to transparency. We will share updates as soon as it is safe and possible to do so.
